This was another interesting issue but I have a few complaints.
1. Unlike previous issues, this month's frontpage did not have an introductory caption, so there was no guidance as to why these fellows were on the cover.
2. I am disappointed at the increasing number of French language articles in the magazine. There are no less than 10 French language "people" magazines in Cameroon, so I feel cheated when the few English language ones decide to go bilingual. It is OK, in fact, even indispensable, to profile interesting Cameroonians of French speaking extraction to give the magazine a national character, but those profiles do not also have to be in French! I believe this is another example of Anglophones making uncalled for compromises and giving up their hard won turf just to accommodate the Francophones who could really care less.
That said, SS Magazine is still number one; just ensure that each frontpage has a caption, and please, let SS remain an English magazine!
Thanks

Dear Publishers -
As I have read almost every preceding issue, I feel compelled to acknowledge the important work you've been doing. Like most readers, I would probably wish to see more coverage of one subject/item or the other, but I recognize its not feasible to attend to the interests of all. The challenge of a free service/ product is that its provider does not have the benefit (?) of sales data to direct or drive your content.
And, to demonstrate the challenge of meeting the needs/interests of all, let me express support for your coverage/ stories in French. I have not seen recent reliable survey data on language proficiency/ skills in Cameroon, but I believe attitudes towards being multi-lingual have changed tremendously, if only due to the global dominance of English.
If some French language articles bring more readers in, and enable coverage of, and readership among Francophone Cameroonians - all the better.
Regards,
Nana Simo
